Beaches Orihuela Costa

There are too many beaches to list within a short drive of our holiday rental here in sunny Spain. Here are some of the nearest ones and main beaches.

There are very few pictures within this site. Our objectives is to give a good choice of driving experiences available.

Roccio Del Mar / Punta Prima Beach

The nearest beach is only a short 15 minute walk or a minute or so in the car. It is however the smallest of the local beaches and if you are in the car, it may be worth the extra few minutes drive to other beaches nearby with facilities, bars and toilets. However if are looking for a stroll along the beach, this may be just right for you. It is located right next to the Nautilus bar also.

Playa Flamenca Beaches

The two beaches situated in Playa Flamenca are Cala Mosca and Cala Estaca and are probably a bit too far to walk at about 40 minutes or so. However you could be parked next to the beach in about 5 minutes should you drive. The beaches are separated by a large promenade area and one beach has toilets and a bar.

La Zenia Beaches

Less than a 10 minute drive, this is one of the major beaches in the area, situated either side of the La Zenia hotel. During the summers months there are Jet Skis and other sports situated here. There is also a large cafe, restaurant and shop next to the hotel. The beaches here are called Cala Cerrada and Cala Bosque.

San Pedro Beach

This is a good 25 minute drive south, but if you like calm waters without the waves and water that is only up to your waste even hundreds of yards out, then this is worth the drive. The beach is actually on the mar menor lake and although has a tide, is very shallow. This is where the Spanish come during their holidays, so is busy during July and August but very quiet in between.

Other Beaches In Area

We haven't even scratched the surface for beaches within a 30 minute drive, from Cabo Roig to Gaudemar, Torrevieja, La Mata and many more.
